A harvest review…..”thank you’s” abound for a wonderful occasion

Harvest Festival

Out Harvest Thanksgiving Festival which was held on Sunday 13th October was a truly joyous occasion. The Church was splendidly decked out for the occasion with arrangements of fruit, vegetables, flowers, arts and crafts and even sods of turf! Our special preacher was Canon Kieran O’Mahony OSA, an ecumenical canon of St. Patrick’s Cathedral, who gave us much “food for thought” at harvest-tide. The service was followed by a “bring and share” lunch in the Parish Hall which was supported by over seventy parishioners and friends. A big “Thank you” to Canon Kieran for his inspiring words; to Janet Moore, Brigid FitzSimon and their team of flower arrangers; to the Sunday Club for their colourful artwork, to our organist Paul McNulty and members of the choir; and to Susan O’Kane and her team of willing catering assistants for making the occasion such a memorable one.
