On Sunday 19th May, following a soup and brown bread lunch after the main mid-morning Church Service, a group of eleven walkers plus five dogs left the Church grounds to walk around the Lower Vartry Reservoir (Sli na Slainte) in the Roundwood area. On a very pleasant sunny afternoon, the scenery was magnificent and the company even better. After the walk, six of the group retired for a meal at the Roundwood Inn. All in all, it was a very enjoyable afternoon and many thanks to the walk leaders, Hilary Cran and John Sharpe.
