In case you ever wondered what the Select Vestry is – twelve parishioners are elected annually at the Easter General Vestry by parish members who are on the General Vestry Register. They, plus the Rector, Glebe and Church Wardens form the Select Vestry. Members are responsible for what are often called the three Fs – finance, furniture and fabric (buildings). This means managing the parish finances, looking after the running of the parish buildings and ensuring compliance with state and church legislation and regulations. Parishioners who are not on the Tullow General Register of Vestry Members, and wish to vote for Select Vestry members, may register before the end of January. Forms are at the back of the church, just ask the Church Wardens.
