Race Night – a galloping review!

All the fun of the ‘Sport of Kings’ came indoors to Tullow Parish Hall on the evening of Friday 25th November.
With a fully sponsored Race Card which consisted of eight races of eight runners each, people were spoiled for choice of horses. Even those who might have a difficulty identifying the difference between a horse and a pony were able to make informed decisions like a professional!
At the end of the day, the most successful punter shared her winning formula – backing only those horses which were sponsored/or ridden by those she knew – including herself. Perhaps not the most scientific method, but effective none the less.
During the proceedings, plates of sandwiches and other goodies were provided as a ‘nose-bag’.
Many thanks to the organising commi3ee chaired by Sandra Ru3le for organising this event; to all who sponsored the Race Card, races, horses, jockeys and prizes; to the young people who managed the tickets for each race; to those who managed the catering and to all who supported this extremely enjoyable event.
