On Friday October 16th at 8:00pm the Seafield Singers performed in Tullow Church. The conductor, compere and soprano soloist on the evening was Liz Hilliard in what proved to be her first outing in charge of the Singers, having only taken over from Alison Young last February. The organ soloist was David Bremner and Alison Young accompanied the choir in a repertoire which was wide ranging – including two audience participation pieces. The concert proved to be most enjoyable and was followed by a wine and canapés reception. Many thanks to those who organised this event including Bob Willis and Jill Malcolm; to Jim Finlay and Charlotte O’Kane for organising the door; to Susan O’Kane and her team for the reception afterwards and to Michael O’Kane for organising the wine and minerals. A special word of thanks to three younger parishioners for all their hard work on the night; Charlotte O’Kane, Harry O’Kane and Emily Arrowsmith.
