It is with great sadness that we let you know that John Sharpe passed away peacefully at home with his beloved Hilary (Cran) on 7th May 2021. John was the loving husband of the late Valerie and dearly loved father of Sandra and David. He will be sadly missed by his son-in-law Simon and daughter-in-law Natasha. Proud and loving Grandad to Stephen, James, Molly, Jay, Taylor and Annabel. He will be fondly remembered by Cheryl and Brian, Darren and Nicky, Glenn and Sarah and Hilary’s grandchildren. The family would like to thank the staff of the Haematology/Oncology unit of St. James Hospital under Dr Patrick Hayden for their compassionate care and attention to John and to all the blood donors who so generously gave John extra quality of life. John was a long-standing, popular and very active parishioner in Tullow. A retired vet and former glebewarden, he was the first to volunteer to help with everything ranging from filling his trailer to moving furniture and manning the car park for fairs. He will be sadly missed.
