Evergreens Walk – Bray-Greystones, Sunday 12th March / Cruagh Woods, Sunday 14th May

Next Walk: Sunday 12th March 2017 – Cliff Walk from Bray to Greystones
I have received a request for a flat walk and this should be suitable! The route starts on Bray Promenade and joins the cliff walk which was created in the 19th century to access and build the railway line to Greystones.
Many sea birds nest on the rocks and cliffs as they are safe from human intervention. Binoculars and a bird book could be useful to distinguish a guillemot from a gannet, and seals or porpoise may be sighted. The walking distance is about 8km and we will return to Bray by DART, so bring your travel pass.
As usual we meet in the Parish Hall to depart at 12.00 noon. Appropriate clothing should be worn. As the track is slightly undulating, and could be muddy in wet weather, boots or sturdy shoes are recommended!
Bring a light lunch for sustenance and we will end up in a hostelry in Greystones on a BYO principle!
Note change of date for walk to Cruagh Woods and Mountain to Sunday 14th May.
