This is an enjoyable festive season ramble along good tracks beside the river. Historically the river powered over 50 mills with ‘green’ energy with only a few ruins left as evidence. The river is a vast source of wildlife and I have observed kingfishers, herons and wagtails. Starting at Clonskeagh, we will walk upstream for a while before returning for refreshments at Clonskeagh House pub!
John and Vera have kindly invited all Evergreens and friends to the Rectory for supper afterwards.
