Garden of Remembrance – the small group looking at the operation and possible upgrading will report to the November meeting of the Select Vestry.

Wendy’s BBQ – the Select Vestry expressed its appreciation of the work of the organisers in raising over €10,000 for Blackrock Hospice in memory of past parishioner Wendy Porter.

Heating, Lighting, Electrics – a series of critical meetings is currently underway, after which a proposal will be presented to the Select Vestry.

Ramp – the contract is being drawn up at the moment and will then be signed by the RCB (owners of the church property). Work will begin as soon as possible following an obligatory Commencement Notice period.

Quote for painting the exterior woodwork of the Rectory has been accepted and the work will be carried out in October or as soon as weather permits. Remedial work on some boundary trees has been arranged (since completed).

Parish Consultation Process – the aim was to offer everyone on the parish list an opportunity to take part. The majority of people on the list have been contacted despite some difficulties with lack of up to date contact details.

Safeguarding Trust – the Select Vestry adopted the ‘Risk Assessment Document for Tullow Parish’.

Social and Fundraising – it was agreed to hold a service in memory of deceased parishioners on 25th It was also agreed to invite members of local history societies in the area to the Remembrance Sunday service on 11th November marking 100th anniversary of the ending of the Great War.
