The badminton season finished a li tte earlier than usual on 24th May with the usual hard fought competition; 14 able bodied men and women, split into two teams – the ‘girls’ in pink versus the ‘boys’ in blue!
With a slight starting points advantage the girls valiantly batt led away, with Heather and Brenda to the fore! Don’t know whether it was Noel’s bronzed bare legs (after he was sidelined with a torn muscle) and all the a ttention that he got from the assembled women, anyway the ‘Boys’ managed to overcome the fairer sex by five games to three.
A tasty array of culinary delights awaited the members when the games were completed and thirsts were quenched. The prizes were up to the usual high standard. Roll on next season!
