Brockaghs, Laragh
Hello walkers!
I hope to see many of the regulars and some new faces on our first walk. Starting in the Car Park in Laragh near the R.C. Church the route heads upwards through coniferous forests above the Glenmacnass River. It emerges on the moors and the summit of Brockagh East is reached where there are good views of the mountains around Glendalough. This is a beautiful part of Wicklow and it should be glowing with autumnal colours. Not to be missed!
Grade: A gradual climb on forest roads and mountain tracks.
Refreshments afterwards in Lynam’s of Laragh on a “buy your own” principle.
All walks depart from the Church Hall at 12.00pm and are approximately 2 to 3 hours long. Guidelines on appropriate clothing and footwear, sustenance, i.e. lunch and dog’s policy, can be found in the Brochure for 2017/2018.
