The Connect Group outing to Hunter’s Hotel on Thursday 6th July was blessed with mixed weather. Upon arrival there was a rain shower which meant umbrellas had to be employed to stay dry. Fortunately afternoon tea was ready and so we adjourned to the drawing room. Afterwards, for the more sedentary, it was great to be able to sit in a part of the tranquil gardens in pleasant sunshine – with the umbrellas again employed to provide shelter from the intense sun! For the more active, there was the opportunity to wander the grounds to admire the flowers and take a tour of the vegetable garden, the produce of which is used in their own kitchens. Many thanks to Jennifer Sowman and her team of helpers and drivers for organising this outing.
