Sunday 2nd October 2016 – Laragh and Paddock Hill
Hello Walkers!
I hope to see many of the regulars and some new faces on our first walk.
Starting in the Car Park in Laragh near the R.C. Church the route follows a woodland track before joining the Wicklow Way. The climb up Paddock Hill is very rewarding as many of Wicklow’s higher peaks come into view. The return route descends through a forest before joining a quiet road back to Laragh. This is a beauful part of Wicklow and it should be glowing with autumnal colours. Not to be missed!
Grade: Some manageable climbing on good mountain tracks.
Refreshments afterwards in Lynam’s of Laragh on a “buy your own” principle.
All walks depart from the Church Hall at 12.00pm and are approximately 2 to 2½ hours long. Guidelines on appropriate clothing and footwear, sustenance, i.e. lunch and dog’s policy, can be found in the Evergreens Brochure for 2016/2017, available in the church or on request.
