This event took place a little earlier than former years – on Thursday 17th September. It was great to see so many members present and we bid a special welcome for Olive Popplewell who joined us for the first time. As usual we began with a Service of Holy Communion at 1:00pm and this was followed
immediately by lunch in the Rectory. The line up of volunteers had a revised look as many of the regular team were away on holidays. However, the normal high standards were maintained and everyone enjoyed a lunch of lasagne and potatoes followed by an apple desert with ice-cream. Thank you to Dr, Ken Glass for playing the organ during the Service. Also, many thanks to Jennifer Sowman and her ‘team’ for all their hard work which contributed to a very enjoyable occasion.
