The Evergreen Walking Group had to bring the March walk forward by one week due to a clash with Mothering Sunday – and didn’t we make a good move. The weather on the rearranged date was wonderful and we even had sun on the Dublin Mountains. About 14 walkers strode out – again Elliott, age 3, made it all the way holding hands of his Gran and Granddad Hayes – he is our star! Great walk, great company and beautiful sunshine to enhance the views – Ballinastoe, we will be back!
The walk on the 19th May will again be in the Wicklow area – covering 7.5km around the Lower Vartry Reservoir . flanked by trees and with fantastic views across the water in all directions, this is a comfortable walk on lakeside paths and country road. After soup and brown bread in the church hall following the mid-morning Service, we will leave the grounds of the church at 12:30 sharp. Everyone welcome.
