Evergreens – Cruagh Woods revisited – October 2017 for fresh start

On Sunday afternoon 14th May, a group of ten walkers left the Church grounds for their starting point rendezvous at Cruagh Woods car park. From there they walked a circuit through the woods up onto Cruagh Mountain. Unfortunately one of the walkers slipped and fell, breaking her wrist. However, Sidney Buckley assumed the role of the Good Samaritan and took the injured to hospital. We wish Patricia a speedy and successful recovery. Following the walk the remaining group rered to Johnny Fox’ for refreshments. This was the last of this season’s walks, but we look forward to a new season commencing in October.

Many thanks to Donald Gill, the walks co-ordinator, for his input into a varied and interesting selection of walks.
