Meet at Frank Johnson’s home (time see below} – Newgrange, Barnaslinghan Lane, Kilternan, Co Dublin (Second left past garage in Kilternan is Barnaslinghan Lane and house is about 1 km on the right)
Route: Circuit of the magnificent Scalp with woodlands and rocky outcrops, overlooking the Leadmines chimney on one side and Dublin Mountains on the other. Just the tonic for post-Christmas indulgences! Suitable for all.
The Walks Programme refers to meeting at 2.00 pm at Newgrange. However in view of the early sunset it would be better start walking at 2.00 pm. Therefore we should all arrive in good time to park cars and get organised for the walk!
See you there. Boots or scruffy shoes recommended plus warm/waterproof clothes.
