On Thursday 10th April 2014, we had our pre- Easter get-together with seated Holy Communion followed by a lovely Lunch in the Rectory. It was great to have such a full house on the day and in particular to welcome Avril, Daphne, Finn, Jim, Valerie and indeed Patricia, to their first such occasion. Hopefully they enjoyed it enough to come again in the autumn. Thanks to The Rector, and Sally for a lovely service of Holy Communion, enhanced by Ken Glass playing the organ for us, and to all our team of helpers for delicious cooking, baking, wine pouring and serving etc. We can’t manage the event without our drivers so thanks to Frank Johnson, David Morton and Henry Bellew. It was a very lively lunch with plenty of chat, and in spite of being assured there was actually no kangaroo meat in the shepherd’s pie, all left with a “spring in their step”! We will have further news of our Summer Outing, with dates and venue firmed up, after Easter.
