Whist results – and the end of an era?

Just two friendly familiar faces from local parishes joined us at our Annual Christmas Whist Drive on November 21st 2013. Despite low numbers, we had a fun evening, though our visitors had very poor cards! Nevertheless, everyone went home with a prize!

Parish Whist Drives could now be consigned to the history books – all good things come to an end!

Thank you to those parishioners who donated whist and raffle prizes, and especially to Rev Cecily West who made the wonderful Christmas cake. A big thank you to Janet Moore and Patricia Stewart for organising supper, and to those ladies of the parish who made cakes. A special thanks to Bernard, our sexton, whose help, especially in preparing the hall, is invaluable.

First prize of a €30 M&S voucher was won by Terry Forsyth. The Christmas cake was raffled later at the parish cake sale and won by Elaine Willis.
